Second Group of 7 Elephants Reach Mysuru Palace for Dasara Fest

Mysuru: Second group of 7 elephants scheduled to take part in the Mysuru Dasara Fest arrived at Mysuru palace on Thursday and the elephants were warmly received by Mysuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) Randeep D and others officials.
Three elephants, Krishna, Drona and Gopalaswamy arrived from Mattigodu camp located at Nagarhole National Park while four other elephants, Vikram, Gopi, Harsha and Prashantha arrived from Dubare elephant camp. All 7 elephants joined the first team of 8 elephants which reached the palace on August 17.
Elaborate arrangements have been made for mahouts and their members of families who reached Mysuru to look after the 15 elephants. Food kits and other necessary things are beings supplied to them by the palace board, Deputy Commissioner said.
