Hyderabad: Four employees at the Kamineni Hospital in Hyderabad have been sacked from their jobs after they clicked selfies with the body of actor-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna.
The photo which went viral on the social media on Friday had, reportedly, been clicked shortly after the doctors pronounced the actor-politician dead. The insensitive act on the part of the staffers – a ward girl, a ward boy and two nurses – drew wide criticism from social media users thus compelling the hospital management to initiate action against them.
Nandamuri Harikrishna, son of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder NT Rama Rao and a former minister himself sustained critical head injuries in a road accident on the Annaparthi road near Narketpally in Telangana’s Nalgonda district.
Harikrishna was cremated with state honours in Hyderabad on Thursday.
