Senior citizens, those with comorbidities must come forward to take Covid-19 vaccine: DC

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner Dr. K V Rajendra on Friday urged senior citizens above the age of 60 and people above 45 years of age with comorbidities to take the Covid-19 vaccine
Speaking to the reporters here, DC said, ” Covid-19 vaccine is being provided at 90 government centers. All the centers will administer vaccines from 8 am to 9 pm. People must come forward to take the vaccine. It is completely safe and people must stop believing in false rumors.”
He further said, “Already 10 lakh people have been given Covid-19 vaccine in the state. There are over 10 to 12% citizens aged above 60 years in the district and 3.6percent have come forward to take the vaccine”
“Also, heads of temples, churches, and mosques will be urged to create awareness regarding the Covid-19 vaccine,” he added
