Senior Cong leader Badruddin Shaikh passes away due to COVID-19

Ahmedabad: Senior Congress Leader and Ahmedabad Corporator Badruddin Shaikh has succumbed due to coronavirus on Sunday, April 26,
As per sources, Shaikh had contacted COVID-19 while helping poor people in Ahmedabad and was admitted to SVP hospital 8 days ago.
Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil took to twitter and wrote, “My friend #Badru was a true #CoronaWarrior. He got infected with #coronavirus whilst helping poor people in #Ahmedabad #Gujarat . He is a big loss to our @INCGujarat family as he succumbed to #Covid_19 . A lesson for all: Please take care and cooperate with your local authorities.”

The official account of Congress condoled his death and wrote, “We are saddened to hear the passing of veteran Congress leader Shri Badruddin Shaikh due to COVID-19. A lifelong Congressman, he served the people with humility and in times of distress. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family in this time of grief.”
