Senior Journalist, Congress leader Prakash Deshpande no more

Prakash Deshpande, a senior journalist, author, and president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat in Hukkeri Taluk passed away on Wednesday, May 12. He was 69 years old.
He was admitted to Hukkeri hospital as he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Prakash was a candidate from the Belgaum unit for the upcoming elections. He has been working as a journalist for the past 40 years with various media houses.
Prakash has participated in many activities and discussions related to Karnataka state’s border issues and has also worked towards the upliftment of his home town Hukkeri.
He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.
