Bagalakote: Renowned journalist and Samyukta Karnataka Bagalakote Edition’s local editor Ram Managuli (64) passed away on Friday after a period of illness.
Having served in the field of journalism for the past four decades, he held the position of local editor for the Samyukta Karnataka newspaper, as well as the editor of the district-level daily newspaper Naadu Nudi. He was also the vice-president of the Karnataka State Journalists’ Association and a member of the Karnataka Media Academy, having received numerous awards and accolades, including the Karnataka Media Academy Award.
In 2002, during his tenure as president of the Bagalakote District Journalists’ Association, he successfully organized a statewide journalists’ conference in Bagalakote, which was well-received.
Under his leadership, press club activities were conducted smoothly at the district level, especially in the Belagavi division.
Ram Managuli was a prolific writer who consistently contributed to the field without any bias, shedding light on various issues through his columns.
The Bagalakote District Journalists’ Association expressed condolences over the demise of the senior journalist.
