Mangaluru: Amidst allegations that the councilors of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) are in the dark on the development works under the Smart City project, the district administration is planning to set up a dedicated website for the smart city project which will give information on all the projects.

The plan to set up a separate website to give details about the project, progress of the work, the total amount estimated and other details was revealed by the deputy commissioner Sashikanth Senthil at an interactive session on Smart City Mission projects at MCC on Monday October 29th.

“As the smart city project is different from all the other projects, members should understand why some unique works will be undertaken under the project,” said the DC.

Speaking on the separate dedicated website for the smart city project the DC informed that the website would include all details of the project as well as other updates. The website will also give an opportunity for the members of MCC and the general public to give their opinion and suggestions.
