Bengaluru: In a fresh row, the Kannada TV serial producers have demanded popular Sandalwood director S Narayan to remove “Jothe Jotheyalli” fame actor Aniruddha Jatkar from his upcoming Kannada serial, “Suryavamsha”.
They have demanded to stop the shooting process of the serial and requested Narayan to act referring to a two-year ban being imposed on Aniruddha by Kannada Screen Producers Association from acting.
The issue reached the table of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. The sources say that the issue is being looked into seriously.
Speaking to the media, Aniruddha said, “I was expecting a meeting in the film chamber, but no one turned up. They are pressurizing S Narayan sir to not cast me in the serial. I could have taken this matter to the court but did not do so, as I believe in ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’ (one family). Narayan sir has told me that the shooting will resume. I will act in the serial.”
Earlier, Aniruddha was ousted from the serial “Jothe Jotheyali”, in which he was playing the lead role. He was removed for his alleged attitude and arguments with the producer. Based on this, the Kannada Screen Producers Association decided to ban him from acting in any serials for two years.
