Serial theft: Thief steals petty cash, leaves behind laptops worth lakhs

Padubidri: A bike-borne miscreant committed serial theft at four shops located on National Highway 66 near Uchila here.
CCTV footage of the incident shows a man, wearing a jacket and helmet breaking open the shutter of the shops.
The theft took place at around 5 am on Tuesday morning. The thief targeted Mohammed Rafiq’s cyber cafe, Hotel Spice, Shashi Lunch home, and a bakery shop and reportedly stole only petty cash from the counter.
As per the complaint filed at Padubidri police station, the cyber cafe had laptops valuing lakhs of rupees but the thief did not steal those.
Police visited the scene and a probe is on.
