Series of accidents at NH-66 Katapadi junction, no casualties

A series of accidents occurred at Katapadi Junction on National Highway 66 on Thursday, October 17 morning leading to a traffic disruption for a while here.

As per reports, a tanker experienced a technical malfunction causing it to collide with a car and a two-wheeler. It is gathered that the CCTV cameras and vehicles at the junction were damaged in the mishap.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The vehicles involved were headed towards Udupi. Miraculously, the occupants of the car and the rider of the two-wheeler escaped unharmed. The car was severely damaged, while the tanker continued moving for some distance before coming to a halt.

Kaup police visited the scene.
