Session’s court granted interim bail to Ravi Belagere

Bengaluru: Session’s court on Wednesday granted interim bail to Editor Ravi Belagere taking into consideration of his bad health condition.
Belagere was taken to Victoria Hospital on Tuesday night from the Central Prison hospital after there were variations in his BP and sugar levels, which led to swelling in his legs. After being treated at Victoria Hospital, he was shifted back to the jail hospital. As he is hypertensive and and diabetetic, his health condition deteriorated on Wednesday morning and he was again taken to Victoria Hospital.
Belagere’s counsel moved bail application before the session’s court, citing his health condition but the magistrate denied bail.
The sessions court granted him bail and put forth few conditions as not to tamper with the evidence on the case and that he has to appear whenever required. He cant be leaving the country or Bengaluru for any reasons till the investigation is complete.
