Several BJP legislators are ready to quit party: DKShi

Hubballi: State BJP legislators were given an open invitation to join the Congress by Minister D K Shivakumar, on Tuesday, May 7.

Addressing presspersons he said that several BJP legislators were ready to quit that party and were in regular contact with the Congress leaders. BJP workers also want to join Congress.

“We are giving an open invitation to those BJP legislators and workers to join Congress party, this a golden opportunity for them,” he added.

Speaking on the BJP leader’s expectation of political change in the state after the Lok Sabha poll results, Shivakumar said, “there would be a political change after Lok Sabha poll results, but it would be a change to strengthen the coalition government”.

Further speaking about Kusuma Shivalli , he said that she had entered the fray with a commitment to continue the good works taken by her husband and challenged the BJP to support her in the byelections.
