Several booked for spreading inflammatory messages on social media

Mangaluru: The City Police has ordered an investigation to track and find people for spreading hateful messages through social media that are disturbing communal harmony in the region.
Police commissioner Dr. P S Harsha said, “Do not spread provocative material, false information, hatred in social media. They can result in serious consequences.”
The police have registered several complaints in this regard and have involved the cybercrime department for further investigation.
Few people have been identified and cases have been registered against several social media groups admins for sharing false information and provocative messages and have been asked to report to station for inquiry.
