Bengaluru: The police in Bengaluru as of late busted a human trafficking racket, while on the trail of a missing 16-year-old young lady from Munnekolalu, Marathahalli. The prostitution racket was observed to be focused in New Delhi yet included a peon from a local sub-registrar’s office.

Amid their raid, the Marathahalli police figured out how to catch four individuals engaged with the sex racket in New Delhi but the pimp and a n associate figured out how to escape the scene.

The peon from the sub-registrar’s office, who has been recognized by police as K Shivashankar alias Raju (30), is a resident of Bangarpet in Kolar. He supposedly entrapped the young lady by promising her an occupation in Delhi, after which he sold her to the proprietor of a brothel in New Delhi named Kajal, for Rs 70,000, where the young lady was forced into prostitution.

After the young lady disappeared in 2017, the police were left trying in vain, endeavoring to discover leads when they at long last got a break in September, when the young lady’s mother got a call from her missing daughter.

To investigate the developments further, a team was assembled and sent to Delhi after having traced the call. After a long stretch of investigation, the policeraided the brothel in December and rescued the missing teen and another girl. The other girl, who is alleged to have been sold to Kajal by Shivashankar, hails from Mulabagilu of the Kolar district. Kajal and her associate Sarika, managed to flee the scene when the police raided the brothel.

As indicated by the police, Shivashankar and his partner, Turub Pasha, gave over the young lady to Kajal at the Kempegowda International Airport, where Shivashankar was paid Rs 70,000. After the trade was made, Kajal flew back to New Delhi with the young lady.

The police have additionally captured Chotu Ram Dev (40) and Rajesh Kumar (34) from New Delhi and Pasha (38) and Shivashankar from Bengaluru.
