Shahpur: GP candidate’s son brings punch knife to counting centre

Shahpur: Police officials have arrested a man who was trying to enter counting centre with a punch knife in Shahpur on Wednesday, Dec 30.
The man has been identified as Mohammed Ashiq who is the President of Tipu Sultan association of Sagar Village unit. It is said that his mother is a Gram Panchayat candidate contesting from Sagar village. Police officials have seized the punch knife and the accused has been taken to the police station for further enquiry
On the other hand, several candidates and their supporters in Shahpur were seen entering the counting centre with Lemons in their hand which was seized by the police officials.
Lemons have been associated with black magic and earlier JDS leader HD Revanna was accused of carrying lemon with him to events
