Sharp showers in coastal districts; IMD predicts heavy rainfall for next 5 days

Mangaluru/Udupi: Heavy rains lashed the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi, affecting normal life in several parts of the region.
The meteorological department predicted heavy rains in the region for the next five days.
While Sullia Nagar, Aranthodu, Bellare, Kalmadka, Jaluru, Sampaje, Kallugundi, Subrahmanya, Kollamogru Kadaba received heavy rainfall on Wednesday, Mundaje, Belthangadi, Kalmanja, Dharmasthala, Ujire, Kadirudyavara, Puttur, Vittal, Balpa, Ubaradka of Belthangadi taluk received moderate to light rainfall.
Brahmavar, Kundapur, and Byndoor of Udupi district have reported drizzle and light rainfall.
Also, a yellow alert has been declared in Bengaluru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru and Ramanagara districts.
