Shaurya Jagran Yatra: Mangaluru police change traffic routes

In the backdrop of the Shaurya Jagran Yatra by the VHP and Bajrang Dal in the city, the police have notified changes in road traffic routes on October 9.
In a press release, Mangaluru East Traffic Police said that all types of vehicular traffic from Kadri Kambala Junction towards Bunts Hostel, from Mallakatte towards Bunts Hostel is prohibited till the end of the Shaurya Yatra.
The Shaurya Jagran Yatra will begin at 2 p.m. on Monday from Ambedkar Circle to reach Kadri Ground.
Motorists have been advised to use the following alternate routes:
- All KSRTC buses coming from Padil and Talapadi arriving at Pumpwell shall proceed via Pumpwell-Nanthoor, KPT route to the KSRTC bus stand and vice versa.
- All buses and other vehicles moving towards State Bank from Nanthoor shall proceed via Shivbagh, Horticulture office, Bendoor, Karavali, Kankanady Junction to reach Falnir road and onwards.
- All buses and other vehicles going towards State Bank from Pumpwell, shall use the Kankanady Junction-Falnir road route.
- Buses and other vehicles moving towards State Bank from Kavoor, Bondel direction are advised to take KSRTC-Lalbagh-PVS-Hampankatte via KS Rao Road and proceed towards State Bank.
- All buses and other vehicles starting from State Bank towards Udupi and Moodbidri will proceed via KS Rao Road, PVS, Lalbagh. From here, those proceeding towards Moodbidri shall take the KSRTC bus stand – KPT route.
- Likewise, all buses and vehicles moving towards Puttur and Talapady will take a right turn from Hampankatte junction and proceed towards Falnir road to reach Kankandy-Karavali junction and onwards.
