Mandya: A video of Kodagu-Mysuru MP Pratap Simha criticising the performance of Mandya MP Sumalatha on a call has gone viral on social media.
Simha, while on his way to Bengaluru, made a stop at Yaliyur Gate Circle in taluk where nearby villagers urged him to build a bridge for the benefit of the locals.
The MP then made a call to a highway planning director and seconds later started to criticize Sumalatha.
“Sumalatha stood in the election and won with the sole purpose of defeating the Deve Gowda family. She does not permit to do any work. Tell me if there’s work to be done in Mandya,” Simha was heard saying in the video.
Sumalatha’s supporters have commented that Simha was speaking to an officer of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Dasapatha Project and expressed outrage against Simha’s use of derogatory tone against her.
The supporters further stated that Sumalatha had questioned the corruption in the works that is why the officer was complaining to Simha.
