Shimoga: Three people, including a child, drowned while on fishing at Tyavareteppa village lake, Soraba taluka in the district here.
The dead have been identified as Basavraj (45), his son Aakash (14) and Shivamurthi (49).
The incident occurred on the night of Monday, May 4. Due to the lockdown, they had decided to go fishing after dark.
Local fire brigade lifted the three dead bodies in the morning of May 5.
