Shimoga airport work must be fast tracked: B Y Raghavendra

Shimoga: Member of Parliament from here and son of Chief Minister Yediyurappa, B Y Raghavendra has urged the government to complete the construction work of the airport coming up at Sogane near the city soon.

After inspecting the construction site of the airport on Thursday, August 6 and discussing it with the authorities, he stated that the 2nd phase of the work should be completed within the stipulated time. He also notified departmental officers and contractors to finish the work without compromising on quality.

Subsequently, the MP visited the prisons here and reviewed the security measures undertaken to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Later, he also inspected the road works being done near the railway station.
