Shimoga: One killed in head-on collision between private bus and car

Shimoga: A man was killed in a tragic head-on collision between a private bus and a car that occurred near Devikoppa in Shiralakoppa on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased is the car driver and several passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries.

The private bus was traveling from Anavatti towards Shimoga, while the car was heading in the opposite direction, from Shimoga to Anavatti. According to an eyewitness, the speeding bus lost control and collided with the car, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

Police faced difficulties in extracting the deceased driver’s body from the wreckage and transporting it to the government hospital. The identity of the car driver has not yet been determined.
