Shimoga: A truck skidding on a rain-drenched slippery road and hitting a bike and a car has been reported from Sakrebail in the district on Sunday, May 10.
The entire incident was video recorded by travellers in the car which was hit.
A traveller in the car was making a video on their phone of the rain and the forests when the truck coming from the opposite direction skidded on a turn. The rear of the truck hit the bike and then the car.
The bike rider, identified as Janardhan (19), died on the spot and the pillion rider Rafiq was wounded and hospitalized.
A woman in the car sustained minor injuries.
A case has been registered at Shimoga’s Tunga Nagar police station.
