Puttur: Four people died on the spot while two others suffered grievous injuries in a tragic accident that occurred at Shiradi Ghat on the highway between Mangaluru and Bengaluru on the early morning of Sunday, March 10th.

In the accident that took place within Sakleshpur police station limits, a KSRTC bus that was plying from Dharmasthala to Bengaluru collided with a Swift Desire car head-on at Shiradi Ghat.

The impact of the collision was such that the lives of four people including a six-year-old child were lost on the spot. Two more women suffered serious injuries and are fighting their battle for life.

Since the accident spot is in a seclude location lacking mobile connectivity, the local people had to put in great effort to save the lives of the people involved in the ghastly accident.
