Udupi: Pejawara mutt seer Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji said that, “Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji has violated the norms of mutt, hence he has lost the right to offer pooja to his throne idol. The throne idol which is currently at the Krishna Mutt will not be given to him.

When questioned on Puttige seer who is also following yathidharma he said, Puttiger seer has travelled overseas which is not allowed according to the norms laid down for the mutt seers. However, Shiroor Swamiji has admitted that he is not following ‘Yatidharma’. Those who are not monks cannot worship the throne idol of the Math. So he has to take disciples and has to hand over the pooja of the throne idol to them. This is my stand on this matter.”

“Puttige Shree has not violated the ‘Yatidharma’. The only accusation on him is that he has gone on overseas tour. Let both them accept disciples.
