Shirva: 6 arrested while lying in wait for robbery

Shirva: Shirva police arrested six people who were laying in wait for robbery near the gate of Kunjarugiri temple in Kurkalu village on the night of May 5.

The police have identified the suspects as Iqbal alias Iqbal Sheikh alias Iqbal Ahmed (32), Parvez (24), Abdul Raqib (20), Mohammad Saqlain (23), Salem alias Saleem (19), and Anas (19).

During the operation, the police were able to seize various items including weapon, 2 packets of chili powder, 3 wooden wickets, 3 two-wheelers, and 4 mobile phones from the arrested individuals. The estimated value of the seized items is around Rs.2,31,000/-. A

case has been registered at Shirva police station.
