Shirva: Father killed, son injured in road mishap

Shrirva: A man was killed while his son sustained severe injuries after being hit by a bike while they were standing to cross the road on Wednesday, Sepetmeber 21 night.

The deceased has been identified as Shranappa Balappa Ganjihala (40) and the injured is Shravan Kumar (6).

The father – son were stading near Asha complex to cross the road, when a speeding bike came and hit them.

The locals immediately rushed them to a hospital in Udupi. However, Shranappa passed away after he stopped responding to the treatment. Shravan Kumar is currently undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, the biker fled the spot leaving his bike behind.

Shirwa police have registered a case in this regard.
