Shirva: Justice KS Hegde Rural Health Center to be inaugurated on Oct 20

Shirva: The Justice KS Hegde Rural Health Center, constructed and overseen by Nitte (Deemed to be University) at a cost of Rs 2 crore, is set to be inaugurated on October 20, 10:00 am, at the Shirva Vidyawardaka Campus. The inauguration ceremony will be graced by retired Supreme Court of India Justice N. Santhosh Hegde, who will perform the inaugural honors. N Vinaya Hegde, the Chancellor of Nitte University, will preside over the event.
The chief guest for the occasion will be Kaup MLA and Shirva Vidyavardhaka Sangha President, Suresh P Shetty Gurme. Distinguished guests in attendance will include Nitte University Vice-Chancellors Dr. M Shantaram Shetty, Vishal Hegde, Vice Chancellor of Nitte (Deemed university) Dr. M S Moodithaya, Vice President (CRL and ISR) Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandari, and Shirva Gram Panchayat President Savita Rajesh.
The village health center will offer medical and dental services, with some services and medicines available free of charge.
Suresh P. Shetty Gurme in a release said that N. Vinaya Hegde, the visionary figure behind Nitte (Deemed to be University), Chairman of Nitte Education Trust, and a prominent industrialist, will be honored for his decades-long dedication to advancing social, economic, educational, and health sectors in coastal districts. He has played a pivotal role in educating and employing thousands of youth through transformative initiatives in education and healthcare.
Suresh P. Shetty Gurme, MLA and President of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, will preside over the felicitation program and deliver a congratulatory speech.
The event is expected to draw the participation of officials and members of the management board of the Vidyavardhaka Sangha, alumni associations of educational institutions, heads of educational institutions, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff, along with well-wishers of the institutions. This was announced by Association President and Kapu MLA Suresh P. Shetty Gurme.
