Shirva: Police hold route march for safe and secure election

Shirva: In accordance to the direction from the District Superintendent of Police, a safe and secure election needs to be held for the public in the limits of Udupi-Chikmagaluru Lok Sabha constituency. The police personnel and rapid action force personnel are prepared to conduct an open and free Lok Sabha election. In this backdrop and with the aim to inculcate a feeling of self-confidence amongst the people of Shirva, an election preliminary route march was taken out by the forces, informed Karkala ASP Krishnakanth.
On Wednesday, the armed Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel of the Kaup police Circle limits of Kaup sub division of Udupi district and the Udupi sub division police personnel conducted a route march and provided information.
Almost 50 armed RAF personnel and 200 police personnel participated in the route march. The route march was taken out from Shirva Saint Mary’s College via the petrol bunk to Sri Ganseshotsava stage.
Kaup Circle Inspector Shantaram, Karkala town PSI Nanja Naik, rural PSI Nasir Hussain, Ajekaru PSI Umesj Pavasker, Kaup PSI Naveen Naik, Crime SI Janaki, RAF Inspector Anand Kumar, SI Sahadev, Shirva PSI Abdul Khader, Padubidri PSI Satish and the police officials of Udupi sub division and staff participated in the route march.
