Sadashivanagar Police personnel have arrested seven people for allegedly desecrating the Shivaji statue at Bengaluru’s Bashyam Circle

On Thursday midnight the miscreants had smeared the statue with black. The police are further investigating this case.

Following this incident activists of Maharashtra Ekikarana Samiti (MES) on Saturday allegedly vandalised the statue of Sangolli Rayanna, a 19th-century icon who fought against the British, at Angol on South Belagavi. 27 people have been arrested in this connection and prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been clamped in Belagavi till December 20 morning.
