Shivalli’s widow to contest Kundagol Assembly bypoll-election ?

Hubballi: After the Election Commission announced that the bypoll to Kundgol assembly constituency will be conducted on May 19 late minister C.S. Shivalli’s widow Kusuma 0on Wednesday, April 10 hinted that she is ready to contest the election.

Addressing pressperson here she informed that Congress workers have exerted pressure on her to contest the by-election.

She further admitting that she does not know much about politics, she said she will enter the poll arena only if the Congress high command wants her to.

The bypolls will be held on May 19, coinciding with the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections and the counting will be held on May 23, along with that of the parliamentary polls.

The bypoll was necessitated after Municipal Administration minister and MLA from the constituency C S Shivalli passed away in March due to cardiac arrest.
