Shivamogga: 3-year-old dies after falling into open water tank at hospital

Shikaripura: A 3-year-old boy died on Friday, November 15, after falling into an open water tank at the Mother and Child Hospital in Shikaripura.

The deceased, Mohammad Ayaan, son of Imran from Mathikote village, had accompanied his father, who was visiting a relative at the hospital. While playing outside, the child is believed to have fallen into the open tank.

Police visited the site and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Protests alleging Negligence

The child’s death has sparked outrage among family members and local organizations, who staged a protest at the hospital. They blamed hospital authorities for negligence, demanding strict action against those responsible for leaving the water tank uncovered.
