Shivamogga: A fire broke out at a two-wheeler showroom in the city on Monday, October 21, causing damage worth lakhs of rupees.

The incident occurred at Sree Karthik Motors, located at the N.T. Road Junction, in the morning. Several vehicles were damaged, and the interior décor of the showroom was destroyed. Local residents promptly alerted the fire department as the fire spread.

Firefighters arrived quickly and extinguished the blaze, with three to four fire engines involved in the operation.

As news of the fire spread, a large crowd gathered in front of the showroom, causing traffic jams on N.T. Road and the Bypass Road. Traffic police worked hard to manage the situation and ensure smooth traffic flow.

Preliminary estimates suggest that property worth lakhs of rupees has been lost in the fire, including the showroom’s interior, some vehicles, and electronic equipment. The exact extent of the damage is yet to be assessed.

Former employee detained

A former employee is being accused of deliberately setting the showroom on fire. Doddapete police have detained a youth for interrogation.
