Shivamogga: Disaster averted as train engine detaches from bogies

Shivamogga: The engine of a moving train detached near Bidare here. Fortunately, there were no reports of any damage in the incident.
The incident occurred on the Talguppa Bangalore Intercity SF Express. The engine suddenly detached from the bogies after the train started moving from Shivamogga railway station.
It is said that a loose coupling led to the separation of the engine from the other train bogies. The passengers on the train were reportedly in panic mode for some time.
Luckily, the incident occurred in a flat area, avoiding a potential disaster. The alert railway staff immediately sprung into action and resolved the issue.
After repairs, the train continued its journey to Bengaluru.
