A startling incident occurred on Thursday, October 24 afternoon near Sahyadri College in Shivamogga, where a car driver dragged a traffic police officer on the bonnet of the vehicle after refusing to stop for inspection.
The incident took place on BH Road during a routine vehicle inspection by the traffic police.
An officer from the East Traffic Police Station signaled a car to pull over for checking, but instead of stopping, the driver sped ahead. In response, the officer grabbed the front of the car and ended up on the bonnet.
Eyewitnesses reported that despite the officer clinging to the bonnet, the driver continued driving from the Sahyadri College gate all the way to Mattur Road, where the car finally came to a halt. Fortunately, the officer escaped the dangerous situation without serious injuries.
