Shivamogga: Elephant dies at Sakrebailu camp due to cardiac arrest

Shivamogga: A 35-year-old elephant passed away at Sakrebailu camp in Shivamogga on Tuesday, October 20.

As per the Sakrebailu forest officers, the death of the elephant, named Ekadanta, was caused by cardiac arrest.

Ekadanta’s body was found in the Shettyhalli forest. He was captured two years back from the forests in Sakleshpur, Hassan district.

Following Ekadanta’s demise, 23 elephants remain in the camp.

Sakrebailu elephant camp, located 20 kilometers away from Shivamogga city, is known for taming tuskers.
