Shivamogga: Gang stabs youth; two accused held

Shikaripura: A 23-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed by a gang at Doddapet here on Tuesday, February 6 night.

The victim, identified as Sushil, works as a computer operator in Kumadvathi College.

Reportedly, Shushil was attacked after he questioned a gang of four persons for riding his two-wheeler carelessly. The gang later stabbed Sushil and fled the spot.

Sushil was administered preliminary treatment at a local hospital and was shifted to a hospital in Shivamogga.

District Superintendent of Police Mithun Kumar and MP B Y Raghavendra visited the scene.

Members of Hindu outfits demanded the accused be arrested immediately.

SP Mithun Kumar has informed that two of the accused have been taken into custody.
