Shivamogga: A ward boy of a hospital here and his friends have been accused of raping a minor girl.

It was reported that the girl’s mother is admitted to the hospital and the girl was taking care of her.

The complaint filed by the mother states that as curfew was imposed in the city due to the violence after an attack on a Bajrang Dal worker, the girl could not get food for her from outside.

The boy, who had befriended them earlier by helping them with food and medicines, asked the girl to come with him to get food. However, he took her to a deserted place along with his three friends and gang-raped her, the complaint adds.

The girl is presently admitted to a hospital for treatment.

The ward boy and his friends are reportedly missing. A case has been registered against them under the POCSO Act.
