Shivamogga: Miscreants loot gold ornaments from age-old temple

Shivamogga: In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants looted gold ornaments from the age-old Sri Venkataramana temple in Pilangiri, Shivamogga.
It is said that the thieves entered through the main entrance and stole 3 kg gold plated panchaloha ornaments valued at Rs 81,000.
But, they dropped a 200-gram palm of the idol behind in a hurry while carrying away the booty.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
