Shivamogga: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been entrusted with the probe into the killing of Hindu activist Harsha in Shivamogga.
The NIA has filed a first information report in this regard in a New Delhi court Wednesday.
Harsha, a resident of Seegehatti, was attacked by a group of unknown persons on February 20 following which he was taken to McGann Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Union Minister of state Shobha Karandlaje had claimed a conspiracy behind Harsha’s murder and demanded NIA probe into it.
Karandlaje in a letter to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai urging for NIA probe, alleged PFI’s involvement in killing of Hindu activists in the past. “This is not the first time such murder has taken place. Several Hindu activists have been killed earlier in Manglauru, Mysuru, and Bengaluru,” she alleged.
