Shivamogga Smart City projects to start within 3 months

Shivamogga: The execution of the Smart City Project will begin within three months, said Urban Development Minister U T Khader on July 25. He was addressing media at the Inspection Bungalow in the city.
Khader said the Shivamogga City Corporation has just begun a few activities under the smart city project. Different projects with a cost of Rs 900 crore will begin within the coming three months, he included.
Yearly, union and state governments each will give Rs 100 Crore to the smart city project. “Projects, for example, Nehru Stadium volleyball court, hockey court and walk way are under progress. These will be finished within 11 months,” he said.
Further, Khader said that he had requested the authorities to complete the Smart City as soon as possible.
Amid the visit, the minister looked into the development at Nehru Stadium and water tank development near Zilla Panchayat Office.
