Shivamogga: An ‘indecent’ photograph of Bollywood star Sunny Leone’s photo was printed on the hall ticket issued to a woman candidate in the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET -2022) examinations which were on Sunday, November 6.

After the gaffe was noticed, the education department has lodged a complaint at the SP’s office here.

The matter came to light at the examination center at Rudrappa College when the candidate produced the hall ticket for verification. The college principal later lodged a complaint.

Shivamogga SP Mithun Kumar said that the case has been referred to the CEN police. Prima facie it appears that the photo was uploaded when the candidate registered for the examination. An investigation is underway, he added.

The candidate has claimed that she asked someone else to fill in her application. Based on her statement, three persons were called for interrogation, he added.

Meanwhile, the education department issued a clarification denying any lapses on its end. The hall tickets are generated based on the details keyed in by the candidates. It is the responsibility of the candidates to verify that the correct details are filled in before submitting the form.
