Shivamogga: Youth suffers electric shock while urinating, dies

Shivamogga: A 19-year-old youth lost his life after suffering an electric shock in Haluru village of Ripponpete on Friday morning.

The deceased identified as Karthik S was a first-year BBA student at the Government First Grade College.

The incident reportedly took place when Karthik was urinating near the fence in front of the house. A live electric wire had fallen on the fence, and as Karthik came into contact with it, he was electrocuted.

Despite being rushed to the local hospital right away, Karthik could not be saved.

The Ripponpete Police Station has registered a case in connection with the incident, and further investigations are underway.
