Shivaramegowda creates new record in Mandya Constituency with massive win

Mandya:   JD(S) candidate LP Shivaramegowda of Mandya constituency has created a record by winning against BJP candidate Dr Siddramayya with a huge margin of 3,24, 925 votes.

Though Mandya is a Vokkaliga-dominated district, BJP managed to get only 2,44,377 votes.

Shivaramegowda  broke the record of actor and politician Ambarish who earlier in 2004  won the Mandya Lok Shaba polls with a margin of 1,24,238 votes.

Though Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s aim to create a new history by winning the Mandya constituency with a margin of more than 7 to 8 lakhs votes remained unfulfilled, he was extremely happy on Shivaramegowda’s victory.
