Bengaluru: The State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) has approved Boeing proposal with a combined investment of Rs 3,427 crore which have potential to create 2,595 jobs.
CM Siddaramaiah approved the proposal of Boeing India Private Limited to invest Rs 1,152 crore to set up an engineering and technology facility with electronics, avionics manufacturing and assembly at Aerospace Park in Bengaluru. The company has’s proposed facility will be spread over 36 acres at the aerospace park, the government said in a statement.
The SHLCC has also approved other proposals which include; Rs 740 crore investment proposal of CDC Development India Pvt Ltd for setting up a technology innovation international park, Rs 1,010 crore investment of Indian Coast Guard, which has proposed to set up a training centre at Baikampady, Mangaluru, and a proposal of Universal Builders to develop housing project with an investment of Rs 525 crore in Hardware Park area at the Defence and Aerospace Park in Bengaluru.
