Mangaluru: BJP Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje slammed Congress Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor over his political jibe at Prime minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, August 5.

Shobha Karandlaje had posted a painting representing Narendra Modi visiting Ayodhya on August 4 and wrote, “Ayodhya is all set to welcome it’s beloved king back home!” on August 4.

In response to this, Tharoor mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and wrote in Hindi, “Neither love is learned, nor love is learned, neither learned compassion nor learned affection. By showing yourself bigger than Ram, you are happy which part of Shri Ram Charit Manas is learned?”

The BJP MP responded to this tweet and wrote, “This is what happens when people who have no idea of Indian values, ethos, and culture start using a momentous occasion to reduce themselves to a troll. We pray to Ram Lalla, the child form of Bhagwan Ram, at Ayodhya. Maybe you can spend some time educating yourself.”

In another tweet, she wrote, “In fact, Ram Lalla is very happy to take his bhakt, Narendra Modi, to the glorious temple, being built at Ayodhya. Ram Lalla waited for this momentous occasion from centuries as country’s centuries-old political party was against it.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the ‘bhumi pujan’ of Ram temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were among those who attended the event at the site where a large number of devout Hindus believe Lord Ram was born.
