Shobha Karandlaje inspects sea erosion affected areas in Muloor-Thottam

Kaup: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje visited the sea erosion-affected areas of Muloor Thottam on Monday.

During the inspection of the affected areas, the minister took the officials and contractors to task for delays in the works and for their failure to prevent sea erosion from recurring.

Speaking to the media later, she said that central and state governments will jointly formulate a plan to install a permanent barrier for preventing sea erosion.

Udupi District Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao M, Assistant Commissioner Raju, Kapu Tahsildar Srinivasamurthy Kulkarni, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Shiva Prakash, and Municipal Chief Executive Venkatesh Navada among others were present.
