Shootout at garment showroon in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a shootout incident took place on a cloth store on Friday evening in the Car street area.
It has been gathered that bike borne armed men open fired at M Sanjeeva Shetty cloth store at about 8.45 pm. Security guard Mahalinga Naik was injured was injured.
The attackers fled from the spot soon after opening fire.
However, as per police sources, the miscreants may have missed their target and this could be an extortion or haftaa case.
It has been gathered that the proprietor of the garment showroom received a call from a underworld don Ravi Poojary, 10 minutes before the incident.
City Police commissioner T R Suresh, accompanied by the investigating team, visited the showroom soon after the incident and further probe is on.
