Shortage of passengers: Direct flight to New Delhi from Mangaluru suspended

Mangaluru: Direct flights to Delhi operated by IndiGo Airlines have been suspended and hence the passengers from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts will have to face inconvenience.
The decision to suspend flights comes after the shortage of passengers owing to the pandemic. The passengers will have to travel either going to Mumbai or Mangaluru to catch an onward flight to New Delhi.
Even SpiceJet has suspended flights to New Delhi some time ago.
Citing the shortage of passengers, the flights introduced after the lockdown was suspended within some days.
Bidding to passengers’ request, a flight to New Delhi via Bengaluru was made available in the afternoon. According to passengers, IndiGo may see an increase in the number of passengers if the timings are changed to, day instead of night.
