Mangaluru: Congress MLA U T Khader on Thursday, May 6 mocked the BJP leaders for going up the oxygen ship that arrived from Bahrain.

Taking to Twitter he wrote, “Karnataka does not have the right to use the oxygen generated within the state. Not sure if I should clap hands or light a lamp for the Atmanirbhar BJP leaders who have gone up the oxygen ship that arrived from Bahrain. I damn your incapability.”

Forty metric tonnes of medical oxygen from Bahrain arrived here on Wednesday, May 5 afternoon on the naval ship INS Talwar. The vessel had departed from Bahrain’s Manama port, carrying the oxygen in 2 containers.

Along with medical oxygen, the ship also brought other medical equipment. On the ship’s arrival at New Mangalore port, the BJP leaders had visited the port and extended a warm welcome to the ship.
