Mangaluru: India must respond back to the terrorist attack on Indian soldiers at Pulwama in Kashmir. We are with the union government on this, said district in-charge minister U T Khader speaking at a press conference at the DK district Congress office on Saturday February 16th.

This is a vile and inhumane act. This is not just an attack on the army; but an attack on the honour and self respect of the India. All must come together to condemn this act, said Khader.

BJP’s aim was to hinder the session and obstruct the delivery of the budget and in this way try to pose the Congress-JD(S) coalition government’s administration as a failure. There is assistance from PM Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amith Shah behind this idea, alleged the minister.

Lake development

Rs 3.5 crore has been approved for the development of 2 lakes in Dakshina Kannada district. Rs 2 crore have been released for the development of the Jalaka lake at Mulki and Rs 1.5 crore has been released for the development of Dadas lake near Konaje, he informed.

Mr Khader spoke after inaugurating the mass wedding by Abu Dhabi based BWF at Milagres Hall on Saturday. By organizing the mass wedding, BWF of Abu Dhabi has become an inspiration for other organizations. Through mass marriage, a poor families in the society get an economical boost, said U T Khader.

It has come to notice that even though many people have submitted applications for the benefits of ‘Shaadi Bhagya’, the money has not been released. A discussion will be held in this connection with the chief minister and it will be made sure that eligible beneficiaries be provided with the money under the ‘Shaadi Bhagya’ scheme, he explained.

Action to release money for ‘Shaadi Bhagya’

Money for ‘Shaadi Bhagya’ is yet to be released throughout the state. Soon action will be taken for the release of the money by bringing the issue to the attention of the CM, explained the minister.
